Let the fall foliage begin in Seattle

The time of the year that everyone looks forward to is starting to show its beauty. In the city of Seattle, the temps that signal the change of the foliage are doing their job. Visitors are driving their rental cars around the city in search of some of the best views. These “leaf-peepers” look forward to this every year. Once you get out of the city, there are so many directions to travel for the scenery. Here are a few areas that are recommended not to miss.

Bellevue Botanical Gardens
Located right in downtown Bellevue, with 53 acres of gardens, wetlands and woodlands. Take a stroll along the .3 mile trail for a great view of the outstanding fall color. Don’t miss the Dahlia Garden as all the flowers should be in full bloom. The Botanical Gardens are free and open every day from dawn to dusk.

Union Bay Natural Area
Visit the 74 acres and four miles of shoreline along Lake Washington, at the Union Bay Natural Area. Gorgeous grasslands and wetlands combined with the backdrops of Lake Washington and Mount Rainier add to the diverse fall scenery.

Discovery Park
Seattle’s largest park covers 534 acres on Magnolia Bluff, including the colorful wooded areas, wildflower meadows, and the sand dunes with dramatic cliffs. Park the rental and explore the 11 miles of trails, a children’s playground. Pack a lunch and enjoy a wonderful fall day in the picnic area, there’s something here for everyone.
