The summertime travel season is fast approaching. Where to go and what to do are some of the biggest questions that are asked. E-Z Rent-A-Car would like to share some ideas on locations that you can save on your summer vacation rental car. Since we are based in Orlando, we are very familiar with all the things to do in the sunshine state.

Orlando Florida- Ranked the Number 1 vacation destination, a visit to Orlando will not be boring. Home to seven major theme parks and many smaller attractions, one week may not be enough. But do not just consider staying in Orlando. A short drive in your rental car can take you on an adventure. An hour to the east you will find Kennedy Space Center. In June 2013 a new attraction featuring a close up look and Space Shuttle Atlantis will be opening. Head southwest and you will find the newest Central Florida theme park, Legoland. A full day’s adventure for the kids and a water park also. Other attractions worth a visit include Gatorland and Fun Spot America.

Tampa Bay Florida - If a relaxing, slow paced vacation destination is more your speed then Tampa could be the place for you. Gateway to Clearwater and home to the best beach with the finest sand in the world. Sun and fun will be on the agenda with many water activities from boogie boards to deep sea fishing. You can still visit a theme park like Busch Gardens and explore the many museums in the area.

Ft Myers – Nature meets high tech along the southwest Florida coast. Sanibel Island is a National wildlife refuge that has brought in technology to educate. Guest scan QR codes with their smart phones while at the iNature trail. The codes provide access to videos and websites for children to learn more about nature. Areas like Ft. Myers and Naples are filled with shopping and art galleries.

Miami and Ft Lauderdale – A mix of cultures and summer vacation activities await you in the famous south Florida destination. There are plenty of things to do for all ages. Start with the famous Flamingo Gardens that is filled with over 3000 rare and exotic plants. If you are going to head to the keys stop along the way at Coral Castle. This unique castle is made of pieces of coral that weigh tons moved inland by a little man with no heavy equipment. Along with the beautiful beaches, the night life along famous south beach is anything but dull. Nightclubs and restaurants stretch for blocks. Better to walk this stretch and the parties flow into the streets.

Early summer is the best time to visit Florida. Hurricanes are less likely and the temperatures are in the low 90’s. So it is time to make those travel plans and reserve your car.
