Arizona has much to offer in the way of natural beauty and landscape. Additionally, there are many interesting and amazing wonders to see that were build and directed by man.
Starting with one of the most impressive man-made creations in the United States, the Hoover Dam, Arizona holds much more than retirement homes and golf courses. The Hoover Dam is easily accessible from Arizona, Nevada and Southern California. It took over 5 years and $46 million to build (and that was in 1931) and is an amazing site to take in. For a natural beauty, it is difficult to match the ancient ruins of Canyon de Chelly. While centuries ago, man did create housing and shelter from the rock and overhangs, the canyon itself is awesome to behold. To learn more, visit www.nps.gov/cach.
For out of town visitors, be sure to rent an appropriate auto at E-Z Rent-A-Car, which is located in terminal at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX) or in nearby Southern California at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
